Nominate Someone for Female Football Week
21st April 2024
To align with Football Australia, Football NSW is running the following award categories for Female Football Week.
NOW is the time to celebrate your female champions within your club and nominate them for one of the below. There will be a prize for the winner in each category and they will also be FNSW’s representative in the National Awards.
- • Female Player of the year
- • Female Coach of the year
- • Female Referee of the year
- • Female Volunteer of the year
- • Community Champion of the year
When considering a nomination think about:
Why does this person stand out?
How has this person impacted football and the football club’s community?
How do other members of your football club talk about this person?
What are their silent achievements and impact that nobody else knows about?
What are their roles, service, milestones and achievements in football?
Why should this person be a 2024 FFW Award winner?
To ensure nominations suitably describe the nominee and their achievements in the female
football space, FA has provided criteria for their awards.
- Females that have shown to be engaged and motivated members of their club.
- Females that are not only passionate in their respective area, but also look to be a leader, encouraging and supporting those around them.
- Females that support the underrepresented, displayed through their dedication of time, skill, and commitment in this space.
- Females that have displayed leadership and mentoring to other members within their club within the realm of coaching / refereeing / playing / volunteering.
- Community football club members who have demonstrated commitment to the values of fairness, integrity, inclusion, and respect.
To clarify, the Community Champion of the year is open to EVERYONE.
